Kingsland Fire Station

8. Kingsland Firestation | 518 New North Road

Now privately owned, the Fire Station was built in 1933 in a georgian Revival style, replacing an original timber station with a watch tower built in 1906.

There was a volunteer fire brigade in Kingsland from that date which amalgamated with the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Brigade in 1933.

Cross the road over McElwain's Hill using the pedestrian refuge 3m to your left.
